Even Too Much of a good Thing can be Bad😎
I can’t believe it has been over a year I wrote about my weight loss journey. I took a decision to take control of my weight as well as take better care of my body,I ditched junk food completely, increased my water intake and ate only foods I was sure was good for my body! 😊
In total,I lost a total of about 40kg and boy oh boy,was I amazed or what? My weight loss was gradual and a lot of people didn’t even notice till much later😀. My skin tone became a bit lighter,I looked much better and I felt better too.
Over the past year,I put back on some weight 😢😢Specifically 9 kilograms,it all started when I felt at some point that I looked too drawn and Mike also felt same way,I decided to put on 3 kilograms,to do this,I had to increase my portions a little but I still tried to eat healthy.
However, putting on 3kg was harder than I thought,I forgot how my body has a mind of its own and would take a little time to adjust, before I knew it,I just got comfortable with eating more and guess what,I was still eating healthy ,I still was not taking any carbonated drink or processed foods( Oh okay,I made buns and chin chin for the family and I indulged a little, after all ,it was Christmas right?😢) but I was eating a larger portion and voila!
Here I am,9 kilograms heavier.
However,I have managed to not put on any more weight since February, and I think also working at a more relaxed pace and in a more friendly environment may have contributed to the weight.
I have been avoiding my scale for 2 months,I have not been able to get myself to get on the scale for weeks, before now,I checked my weight once a week or at least 3 times a month on the same day of the week and this enabled me to keep track.
This past Saturday,I finally psyched myself enough to get on the scale,I was pleasantly surprised,my weight was still same from 2 months back and from February this year. Immediately,I resolved to get the 9kg off and return to my comfortable and healthy weight. So here I am once more, returning to eating reasonable sized portions and continuing to ensure that every thing that passes through my lips is not just of immense benefits to my taste buds but also to my body.
However, knowing my body,it might take me anywhere from 2-3 months to get that 9kilograms off,my goal is usually to lose 0.5-1kg weekly and the first 2 weeks,I may not lose any weight at all if I am not excercising 😰,I love to walk short and long distances but I hate the routine of excercise😏 Thus,I have no plans of doing anything beyond walking and maybe jumping jacks and squats.😀
So,I am going to take the easy way out to jump start my weight loss and perhaps quicken the process, that easy way out is intermitent fasting! Yay! I have decided to do the 16-8 window for 4 weeks only! No more,no less. And Mike even joined me*whispers* remember his 6 packs is now only 2 packs😂😂😂😂
Today is day 4 of 28 as we started on Friday,I will not be checking my weight till Saturday but I can already feel a difference. My tummy that was beginning to look so rounded is shrinking already.
I will write about how I tailored this fast to suit myself and what it entails on Saturday after I check my weight for anyone that would like to join me😊.
You want to join me? You may just surprise yourself 😀
Till Saturday. (Except something changes and I decide to write earlier. )Remember to be happy regardless of everything.😉
