Guilty?

Last week Saturday,I made boiled  yam and vegetable sauce with fried fish for breakfast. I dished the food and called on Nicole and Zayne/Oba(my kids) to take theirs;immediately, I saw Nicole staring at her food and then at her brother’s, she then said “Mum?why is Oba’s fish bigger than mine? I smiled and answered “you want your brother’s fish?” She said yes,so I picked the fish from her food and I swapped it with his;she saw the full size of the fish after I swapped it,hers had been covered partly by the sauce and she could now see that hers(now Oba’s) was the bigger one. She then looked at me and said ” can I have my fish back?” I said “no”
Are you guilty?I am sometimes too😊constantly comparing your life with someone else’s,thinking how much better your friend’s house looks or how many kids that cousin you got married before has,or how much more handsome and richer your friend’s husband is than yours?Well,it may look better on the surface but may not really be better than yours, besides, remember “times and seasons”?remember that life should not be about wanting to be better than others but should be about wanting to be better today than you were yesterday.

Be thankful for what you have and where you are right now while working towards where you want to be ‘at the break of dawn’
