Living Healthy(3)

I stood in front of our house talking with Mike,it was getting dark and I wanted to get to Christian’s shop quickly,so I was about to hurry off,he said something and I laughed, our neighbour passed by us and said a reluctant good evening but I noticed he paused to stare and next thing he said was “ah, madam,it is you?I was surprised and wondering how your husband could have brought a babe to the front of the house and be gisting with her so openly,I didn’t know it was you.”We all laughed about it,then it struck me again how much weight I had lost.
I remember when I was in my 38th week of Oba’s pregnancy in January of 2014, I weighed 125kgs, I was so heavy and my stomach felt like I had swallowed 4 huge water melons, I waddled up and down the hospital stairs wondering how I would ever get rid of all the weight I had put on.After delivery, within the first two months,I shed some weight and went down to 113kg, then life happened as I breastfed and gave myself to eating what I wanted, when I liked and how I liked.Disgraceful?I know.
By my birthday,June 11th,2015,I was at 119kg or thereabouts.I decided I needed to change my life as I was not getting any younger and my weight was not helping my blood pressure.
I set out by trying to change my lifestyle and the way I eat, I love reading,so I read several articles on weight loss and all,I realized that losing even 5 to 10% of my body weight would make a huge difference,so I decided I wanted to lose 18-19kg to get me to 100kg, and then later if I could,I would try to lose an additional 5 to 10kg so that I would have lost 23-28kg.I started out running and watching my food intake,by my next birthday in 2016,I had lost roughly 13-14kilograms and I got somewhat stuck. No matter what I did,I just did not seem to be able to lose any more weight.
I started working out more often but my body seemed to just be at a standstill and would no longer budge.I was now at about 105/106kg,I used to check my weight every Saturday morning, and it had become same old story,it was always either 105 or 106 kg,so I stopped exercising all together but maintained my healthy eating habits. For the next 3 months I didn’t exercise nor check my weight. Then Antie Estacious added me to a group on FB, I checked it out and I liked the feel but never really participated. Then came this day,I saw a challenge for 1,000 naira, it was tagged “Get Waisted”,I had nothing to lose,so I indicated interest and paid the 1,000 to the stipulated account. That challenge changed everything.
