Happy New Year folks!😁I wish you a year that delivers to you all that you have ever hoped or prayed for by God’s grace. May the year 2020 be a fulfilling one for us all.

I don’t know how many posts I put up in the year 2019 but whatever the number,I intend to do much better this year. I will make a conscious effort to do at least one post per week. This time,I will not say so help me God,instead ,I will rely on my sense of duty and try to be more consistent on here.😊

The other day, I saw a post on FB talking about dogbites and if anyone has been bitten by a dog😏. I just hissed and moved past that post. However, the memories that had been shoved to the farthest parts of my mind resurfaced and I just had to share.🙈

On this fateful day,I would have been about 6 or 7years old then,my older brother (now of blessed memory)Biodun,said he was going out to see his friend and classmate Osovehe,to retrieve a notebook that he had given him to update his notes. As I was inclined to do,I tagged along.
As at that time,we lived at Ilorin which was then our state capital and where I was born . When we got to the gate,Biodun turned to me and said ” there is one stupid dog that can barkin the compound, but just walk past and don’t act like you are afraid”😲Before I could respond,Biodun had shoved the gate open and was striding ahead of me,I rushed to keep up and stay as close to him as I could.

However,as I picked up my pace, I heard what sounded like a growl,I turned and saw a dog looking at me,I tried to stay calm but the foolish dog let out a deeper growl and started full on barking, I panicked and took to my heels. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
I heard sounds behind me and Biodun shouting at me to not run, not run?? I ran like the devil was after me , just as I got to the gate,I felt a sharp pain and also the fabric of my panties tearing. The dog had chased and bitten me in the butt😭😭

I cried like my little heart would break. Biodun chased after the dog and hurled whatever he could find at it but the deed had been done. We went back home and we agreed to keep the dog bite away from our parents.
I rushed to bathe before my mum got back from afternoon duty. Trust mothers to have their antenas up and always detect things.😂
After I had been taken for anti rabies shots and the wound treated, I got scolded and Biodun got strokes of the cane for keeping the dog bite to ourselves.😂😂
Till date,I rarely go to houses where I know they have dogs. I have been bitten and it was not a pleasant memory.😏😑

2020 is going to be a good year. Believe it,put in the work and let God lead you through the year.😁This is me,saying to you,Have a great year and stay happy through it all😘
