Stressed?
Hey there!
Been quite a while. I did promise to do better this year,yet it has been two months🙈I apologize and will keep trying to do better.
So,how have you been? Good? How is the heat at your end? The heat around here can drive one crazy but we are doing our best to cope with it.
I have been trying to sort out space for my busines and while I was gone from here, I added tshirt branding to the list of things I do😁I was in Lagos for almost all of 4 weeks training for this and oh I totally enjoyed the entire process of the training.
Sorry,I digressed. I am back to my base in Abuja and I am now back on here.
Overtime,I have noticed that women tend to sort of neglect ourselves sometimes in the course of caring for everybody else. We worry about everyone else but ourselves. Forgetting that we also need to be at our optimum to be able to care for all the other loved ones we care so much about.
For this reason,I would like to take a couple of posts to write on things that have to do with women’s health generally. Health checks we should have regularly,little things that affect our bodies,our moods,our sexual health as our overall balance as fulfilled,well balanced humans.
I will start with the simplest of them all. Our stress levels. Easy enough,yes? How do you manage stress? What are those things that put you in the stress zone?
Women are naturally able to multitask and take on many things at the same time. As a result of this,some of us take on way too much because we believe we can handle it. Yes,we can,but at what cost?
We all have different thing that help us deal with the stress in our lives. For me,I really do not like emotional stress,I have always been able to handle physical and mental stress better.
I am not the most patient person,yes,I know patience is a virtue but you see that virtue,I am still struggling with it and I cannot even pretend about it.
Reason why I avoid things that stress me out emotionally. However,we cannot always avoid stress, so the best thing is to find a way to manage and cope with our stress levels. Different people have different ways of trying to cope with their stress,it could be something as simple as sleeping an extra 2 to 3 hours or even just going out swimming with friends .
For me,I have always loved to read ,watch movies as well as hang out with close friends. These are things that easily help me to de-stress. However,I struggle these days to have actual time to do any of those.
I did find other ways. One of them is brisk walking. I do this 3 to 5 times a week. It helps me clear my mind and head. It keeps my weight in check,and it has helped me so greatly with my coccyx pain.
Another thing is dancing and listening to songs I love. I have always loved to dance,dancing makes me happy and easily puts me in a good mood.
Something else that has helped me is washing my hair. I cannot really explain this but it really does work for me. Washing my hair lifts my mood and generally relaxes me.
Another is having an orgasm. Do I need to explain this?🤭I do? Okay! I think sex is one of the most beautiful things God did for mankind. I am not talking about the mindless rubbing of genitals o. I am talking about good old love making,the type that touches the depth of your soul😊
Let us stop here,this one will take a full post or two to discuss,I will come back to it.
